BAP

Some bloggers Ping A search engine as soon as they have uploaded a new Blog entry. This technique Blog and Ping (BAP) causes search engines to quickly spider a Blog and index the Blogs content. Some people see this as abuse, but Google encourages the process on their own website. The Google Ping tool can be found here: http://blogsearch.google.com/ping.
