The list of pages a search engine displays after a user has done a search. The position in these search engine listings is very important for the number of organic traffic a website can receive. The number one position receives about 40% of all clicktroughs. The number two scores about 72% lower and the number 3 only receives about 8% of all user searching on a particular search term. The webpages on the second SERP receive a lot less than 1% of all users.
