Overture Keyword Selector Tool Stops

More news from Overture (or Yahoo! Search Marketing). I have just recieved confirmation from the Yahoo! Search marketing Team that they are dropping the Overture Keyword Selector Tool.

They are replacing it with the YSM Keyword Research tool.

Overture Keyword Selector Tool Stops

An email I recieved from Yahoo! stated the following:

"The Keyword Selector Tool has been replaced with the Keyword Research tool.
This tool includes the option to find not just variations to keywords but related subjects and finding keywords based on the content of your website.

This tool is built into your Yahoo! Search Marketing account and can be found under the Add Keywords link or under selecting keywords when adding a new Campaign or Ad Group."

Although the Tool has been down for 3 days now, it still works occasionaly. I've managed to run some queries and I don't know if it's allready being taken down, but it doesn't look promising.

The SlowSEO.com Keyword Selector Tool depends on Overture for it's data. If this service stops no new updates can be run. I'm very sorry.

However! I am allready testing new sources and a new database is being filled with new keyword information. Please also remember that our database allready contains 130.000 keywords and you'll probably find what you need.

It's still a pitty though as Overture provided free quantative data that no other tools could beat. The new Tool Yahoo! Search Marketing offers just shows volume bars, wich in my oppinion show relative search volumes. I think this is a damn pitty as a business now cannot get a grasp on actual search volumes.

It's basically providing the same as Google Adwords is already doing. And it looks like no free raw data will be provided by any of the major Search Engines in the near future. A damn pitty!

I'll keep you posted on how SlowSEO.com will handle this and I'm possitive our tool will survive.

Other Sources??

What other sources do you have in mind for collecting this data. I thought Overture was the only free one (providing actual number). Do you know more than I do?

Save your keywords!

Hey there everyone,

Just thought I would pop in here and
share real quick.

All the thoughts, tools and ideas
presented are absolutely terrific.

There is just ONE big huge gaping
hole with all the free keyword tools
that services have created to fill
the void of the disappearance and
then reappearance of the Overture tool.

And that is . . . (drum roll please)

Every single FREE keyword tool has
NO capability of saving your keywords
in a basket and managing your projects.

Well -- since July of 1994,
NicheBOTclassic.com has been
providing its constantly growing
userbase (currently 13,847 users)
the ability to save their keyword
searches that are done for free. ;o)

I know -- it's okay to feel your
heart pitter-patter and get excited
like a kid in a candy story.

And I'm sure you would agree...

That's not only what I call
"useful" -- but I call that a
solution!

Plus -- you also get access to
the Overture tool (while it's
still alive) at...

=====> NicheBOTclassic.com

You ALSO get to save your
Overture searches. Again, that's
only until the Overture tool is
taken off the digital shelf.

You can easily create an account
right here:

http://www.nichebotclassic.com/create/

Time to manage your FREE keyword
searches better, don't ya think? ;o)

And don't be surprised if you find your-
self telling your friends and business
acquaintances about this clearly
useful and superior resource.

Best wishes,

Stu Miles, Strategic Partner Coordinator
NicheBOTclassic.com and NicheBOT.com

that I, or my team, can handle, please
