HTTPS

HTTPS stands for Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure and is a generic, stateless protocol that can be used for connecting to websites in a secure manner. By using HTTPS data sent to a website can not be extracted by third parties. For a webshop or any other website collecting personal or credit card data from their users a HTTPS is critical (primarily to gain users trust).
