Landing Page

A Landing page is a webpage built with the sole purpose of catching the users attention after the user has reached the page though an advertisement. They are usually used in conjunction with a PPC campaign. A Landing Page usually calls for action, hopefully causing the user to further enter the site, buy a product, subscribe to a mailing list etc…

Two types of Landing pages can be distinguished: A Reference Landing Page shows information relevant to the visitor and seeks to communicate with the user. A Transactional Landing Pages aim is to persuade the user to make a transaction; like buying product or submitting information.
