Metajacking

Metajacking is basically illegal stealing of copyrighted names or words in a Meta Tag. Because search engine spiders don’t use Meta Tags quite as often as in the past, this technique has largely died out. In the past one could use Metajacking to get more traffic to your site, by adding company or product names that were often searched for, to a pages Meta Tags.
